Household items to get rid of cockroaches

Sugar and baking soda
Apart from being a few of the main ingredients for making pastries, sugar and baking soda can also help you get rid of cockroaches.
You can mix a quarter of baking soda and a quarter of sugar thoroughly. Then, sprinkle them in the areas where you often see those cockroaches.
The mixture of baking soda and sugar can trigger the stomach acid inside the cockroaches and kill them from the inside. Other than sugar, you can also use honey or peanut butter as an alternative.
Coffee ground
Don’t throw away your coffee grounds just yet. Apart from being a great morning drink, your coffee can also help eradicate those pesky insects.
You can apply a layer of petroleum jelly inside the jar and put your coffee grounds in it. Then add some water to the mix and set it up in places where you often see cockroaches. The coffee grounds will attract the insects while the petroleum jelly will make it hard for them to climb out. It’ll eventually drown them, so they won’t bother you again.
